PROBLEM

Can Asians today find their muse in Asian Art Museum?

A dilemma: Too plain is alienating. Too curated is offensive.

DESIGN INSIGHT

“Museum” = Muse + -um
: A place to find your muse

Artifacts should be experienced, not just be seen.

Asian visitors should be engaged/involved not just be receiver

  • Based on Asian common memories

  • Arouse curiosity

  • Emphasize personal connection
